Friend on the Trail

Skyler recently had a field trip at Fontenelle Forest. I was freezing, but I think he and his friend Jonathan had fun.
I think Lily had fun too!

I can't get enough!

The Horse Rider

Lily loves to ride on her rocking horse and has for some time. But, her level of expertise is starting to frighten me!

Friends

Over the last year and a half I have become friends with some wonderful people. They have renewed my faith in friendship and amaze me with the extent of what they will do for me. Before Christmas I was talking about how I had bought a Leapster for Skyler for Christmas last year, but took it away because he kept letting Lily have it and she was too little to play it. I cannot for the life of me remember where I put and have looked in all places possible. My friend was at Walmart today and let me know that they had some on clearance for a very low price. I asked which Walmart and she asked if I would like her to get it for me. Wow! I was blown away. Then she said she'd bring it by. Wow! It gets better. Recently I was complaining to this friend about the high price of grapes at Baker's. She bought me grapes because they were way cheaper at Walmart, and she delivered them! My new friends have changed my life and brought me out of a funk that I have been in for a long time. Thank you ladies, I don't think you can ever know how much you mean to me! I might have lost other relationships in my life, but I gained better ones. Here's a little quote about friends that reminds me of you.
"Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by another human being. Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this light."

And it just came flowing out!

Whenever I go to someone's house, I always worry about my kids spilling drinks and making messes. I have never worried or even thought about one of my kids throwing up at someone's house; but it happened today and it was wonderful. It was one of those surreal moments. I could not believe what was happening! We had just gotten to Holly's house. I was sitting on the bench in the entryway and Lily was standing in front of me. Christie was nearby, Holly was nearby. And then the floodgates opened! Lily vomited. And vomited. And vomited some more; quite a bit all over me, herself, and Holly's floor. My friends were just laughing! I was in a state of shock, as was Lily. I finally came to and cleaned it up, changed her clothes, bagged everything up, semi-sterilized the area and left. The smell was noxious. I don't know how I didn't vomit myself! The smell of vomit lingers in my car, and on my hands and I am sure at Holly's house! How do you get rid of the smell? This is all because I didn't want to help at Skyler's school today. I was praying for a snow day and instead I get a vomit day. Where's the justice?

Oh What Fun It Is

It is so fun to watch Lily. She loves to wear things that belong to other people. Here she is wearing Skyler's hat and gloves and her stuffed rabit's vest.

And she speaks!

Well I've been wondering about our dear Lily. She just has had no interest in talking at all. Yesterday that all changed when Lily spoke the most important word in the English language: PIZZA!
