Lily's Birthday

Here are a couple of pictures from Lily opening a few of her gifts. Here she is modeling her new outfit from Rachel and Kaleb. I took a picture of what she looked like after she dressed herself and the last one is a pic of her new horse sleeping in bed with her. Very interesting!

No more toddlers in this house

Today is Lily's third birthday. I can't believe that she is three! Time goes by way too fast. In our house, when you turn three you get a big bed. Here are some pictures of what I came up with for her. I even made a lady bug growth chart for her!

Bathroom

I had an interesting Thursday. I am only going to blog about one of the things that happened today and I will blog about the other things at a later post. Today I was cleaning my bathroom. You know, cleaning the toilet, cleaning the counters, cleaning the sinks. I sprayed windex on the mirror and started wiping it off with a paper towel, when the mirror came off of the wall. Yes! That huge mirror came off of the wall and knocked the dragonfly picture right off of the wall onto the floor. The good news is that since I was cleaning the mirror, my hand was on it so I kind of caught it. This mirror has two decorative anchors at the top, which weren't on very well, but it is also supposed to be glued on to the wall. Well, anyway, I managed to put it back up and put the anchors on; they weren't doing very well though because the screws holding them in are coming out of the wall. I called Chuck at work and told him and he was like, WHAT! So he told me to duct tape it along the top and sides and hope it held until he got home. When we got home, we took it down and this is what we are left with. It's okay though. We now have a bathroom renovation project on our hands. It was unexpected, but we both are pretty excited about it. We are going to put up two mirrors, one over each sink, frame them in and in between them have some shelving, since our bathroom is highly lacking in any type of storage. We are also going to paint!!! I am so excited. It needs a paint job so bad! We just have to decided what color. Do we keep it the same, or do something different? Any ideas? I will keep you posted on the project, as right now I have NO idea when it will begin. All I know is that I hope it is soon, as it is pretty weird walking in there right now without a mirror!

Keeper of the Plains

On Friday in Wichita we went to their Children's Museum. It was a beautiful day and outside the museum is the Arkansas River and many tourist attractions. On of them is a bridge over the river and a Native American Display. It was very very cool. There is a huge metal Native American on a huge rock that is surrounded by rings; among other Native American items. They were even playing Native American music. At night, they light the rings around the statue and there are actual rings of fire. We were going to go back that night, but for one we were exhausted and for two, it got really really cold out that evening.

Meet Kaden!

I am so far behind on blogging, it's not even funny. There are two reasons for that, I have been busy and I haven't had the heart for it lately. Maybe that will change soon, the heart thing, I am not sure. But, anyway, we went to Wichita to meet my nephew and we were so thrilled to see him. Skyler loved holding him, he was so happy to just sit and hold him for however long we would let him. It was soooo precious to see. I even had to give up some of my holding time to Skyler because he just loved it so much! He thought Kaden was just so sweet. Chuck liked to hog him too, and any chance he got, he had him! Lily, well, she really didn't care too much about him, but I'm sure that will change once he can actually DO things! I have a lot more stuff from our trip, but it isn't ready yet, so check back later.

Christmas with the Bibens

We had Christmas dinner with my family and here are a few highlights. The kiddos by the Christmas tree, Skyler so happy to get some more Star Wars Legos, Lily in her new fur coat that my mom made her, and Lily posing on the piano bench in her matching skirt. We had a very blessed Christmas season and were so happy to get to spend so much time with our families.

Up next, a visit to Wichita this week to meet the newest addition to our family! Can't wait!
